Evening departure by train to Switzerland.
day 2
Arrival in Zurich and then to historic Lucerne, a city famous for its iconic Chapel Bridge – Switzerland's most photographed bridge, which takes on a magical atmosphere in winter. After the tour, there is an option for a scenic boat cruise on the calm, glacier-framed waters of Lake Lucerne. Transfer to the mountain town of Davos. Dinner.
day 3
Travel on the red carriages of the Rhaetian Railway along the route of the famous Bernina Express and Glacier Express to St. Moritz – the world-renowned winter resort. The journey continues over the Bernina Pass, through unique spiral tunnels and a viaduct set in a winter landscape. Return through the Engadin valley back to Davos. Dinner.
day 4
Journey on the legendary Glacier Express – the world’s slowest express train – through breathtaking scenery. Passing through Chur, the dramatic Rhine Gorge, Oberalp Pass, and into Andermatt, where the Alps reveal their icy beauty. Lunch served on board the express is included. Next comes the Furka Tunnel and a ride along the Rhône River to Brig, from where we continue up the Matter Valley. Accommodation in Täsch. Dinner.
day 5
Morning departure to Zermatt, the famous mountain resort nestled beneath the iconic Matterhorn. Ride the cog railway up to Gornergrat (3,081 m above sea level) – the winter panorama with snow-covered four-thousanders is one of the most beautiful in the Alps. For the more experienced, there is an option to rent ski equipment and ski with views of the majestic Matterhorn. Return to Täsch and take the scenic train along the old Lötschberg route with views of the snow-covered Rhone valley. Continue through the Lötschberg tunnel to Bern and then travel on to Zurich. Evening departure home.
