Tour itinerary
Days 1-2: Departure from the Czech Republic (23:30 from Prague) to Switzerland. In the morning, a short stop in the capital of the Principality of Liechtenstein, Vaduz – a tour of the picturesque town center. We continue to the historic Lucerne, a city famous for the Chapel Bridge, the most photographed bridge in Switzerland. Through the most beautiful valley of the Bernese Alps, Simmental, we reach accommodation near Lake Geneva. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3: After breakfast, we descend into the Rhône valley and cross the low Col de la Forclaz Pas Montets to reach the French territory and visit the Olympic town of Chamonix, located beneath the highest European peak, Mont Blanc (4,808 m a.s.l.). There is an option to take the cable car up to Aiguille du Midi at 3,482 m, where Mont Blanc’s summit is almost within arm’s reach. In the afternoon, departure back to the accommodation, arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4: After breakfast, we head to Montreux, a stylish resort on the Lake Geneva Riviera, regularly hosting jazz festivals and other major events. We take the cog railway up to the viewpoint at Rochers de Naye overlooking Lake Geneva. After returning to Montreux, we take a boat trip on the lake. We sail past the Rhône river mouth, from the town of St. Ghindolf, which partly lies on French territory, cross the lake to Vevey, and then cruise back along the shore to Montreux. A gentle walk along the picturesque "Promenades de Fleurs" leads us to Switzerland’s most beautiful castle, Chateau du Chillon. There is an option to visit this unique monument. In the evening, departure back to the accommodation. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5: After breakfast, we travel through the Rhône valley past the papal town of Sion to Val d’Herens, known for its interesting natural formations called pyramids, protected by UNESCO. We continue to visit the highest dam in Switzerland and the second highest in Europe, Le Grande Dixence. A cable car ride takes us to the dam crest, where a gentle walk along the 225 m high dam is possible. In the afternoon, we visit the papal town of Sion with its charming town center. There is an option for an easy hike to the castles and a more challenging climb to viewpoints near the castles, where the Notre Dame dela Valle cathedral houses one of the oldest functioning organs in the world (14th century). On the way back, we visit the winter sports resort Glacier 3000. After taking the cable car up, we are enchanted by the panoramas; a major attraction is the suspension bridge connecting two peaks. In the evening, return to the accommodation. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6: After breakfast, we descend via the Col des Mosses pass with a stop at a cheese dairy in the traditional town of L’Etivaz, a center of one of the most important cheese-producing regions, to the beautiful Simmental valley in the Bernese Alps. Passing Bern and Zurich, we reach St. Gallen, the city of bay windows, dominated by a magnificent cathedral and a monastery housing a library listed by UNESCO. Via Bregenz and German territory, we continue back to the Czech Republic. Arrival in Prague late in the evening, and in Moravia in the early hours of the following day.

In case of mountain pass closures, restrictions on some cable cars, or other uncontrollable circumstances, the program is subject to change. The maximum altitude on the trip is 3,842 m above sea level during the ascent to Aiguille du Midi; altitude sickness may occur. People with heart conditions should consult their doctor. The minimum number of participants required for the trip to take place is 35.
