day 1
Flight from Prague to Rome, transfer to a hotel in the city center, check-in.
In the afternoon, a group walk with a Czech guide and the first introduction to the city, free time, return to the accommodation.
day 2
After breakfast, Rome ‘ancient’ and ‘baroque’ – a walking city tour with a local guide – depending on time, you will visit the most famous landmarks, Piazza di Spagna and the renowned Spanish Steps, Fontana di Trevi, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, or the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Capitol.
In the afternoon, papal Rome - Vatican, the smallest state in the world with its own post office, magazines and newspapers, radio station, train station, flag, and the papal guard made up of Swiss Guards, the world-famous St. Peter's Square with its semicircular colonnades and an Egyptian obelisk in the center, above the square rises the most famous Christian sanctuary, St. Peter's Basilica dedicated to the Apostle Peter, the first bishop of Rome. Individually, you can visit the Castel Sant'Angelo, or we can arrange optional tickets for the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, including priority entry reservation.
Free time for individual activities – visiting museums and galleries, shopping, relaxing, or strolling through the city, accommodation.
day 3
After breakfast, free time or an optional half-day trip to Villa d'Este in Tivoli – a unique villa built in the Renaissance style, representing one of the finest examples of Italian classical and garden architecture. In 2002, the building was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The trip price includes bus transportation and the accompaniment of a Czech guide with commentary on the bus (entrance fee approx. €15 not included). The afternoon program features Ancient Rome, a walk from the Colosseum along Via dei Fori Imperiali to the Capitoline Hill, or for clients, we can optionally arrange tickets to the Colosseum – the largest amphitheater of the Roman Empire. The ticket price includes priority access not only to the Colosseum but also to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. Return to the hotel, accommodation.
