Tour itinerary

day 1

introduction to the city

Flight from Prague to Venice. Arrival in Venice, transfer to the hotel, check-in, overnight stay. Venice was originally an Etruscan city and, after the fall of the Western Roman Empire, became a powerful Mediterranean center that prospered mainly through trade with the Orient. Instead of a main street, the city is crossed by about 100 canals, with the Grand Canal serving as the main artery, stretching an impressive 4 kilometers in length and 70 meters in width. According to the flight schedule, you will travel with the guide to the center of Venice by public transport for your first introduction to the city.

day 2

venice: st. mark's, doge's palace, rialto bridge

After breakfast, a guided city tour where you will see the sights from the outside. You will walk past the Doge's Palace, St. Mark's Basilica, the Campanile, the Ponte di Rialto bridge, and other famous Venetian landmarks, or you can optionally take advantage of a local gondolier's services and enjoy a ride through one of the city's canals. Free time for individual visits to palaces, monuments, and galleries, followed by a group return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

day 3

burano and murano

After breakfast, free time on your own. By arrangement with the guide, there is an option to take a trip to the islands of Burano and Murano, including a visit to one of the glass workshops where traditional glassmaking is practiced. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
