Tour Program

day 1

bratislava - budapest

The journey to discover the beauties of Budapest begins! In the morning, departure from Bratislava's main station heading to Budapest. During the trip, you can enjoy the comfort of a modern train set with Wi-Fi access, onboard service, and complimentary coffee. Upon arrival in Budapest, a Czech- or Slovak-speaking guide will welcome you right on the platform. Together, we will transfer to the hotel, followed by the first part of our city exploration. We will visit the famous Heroes' Square, where we will briefly learn about Hungary's rich history. Next, we will ride the historic 19th-century metro—the very first underground transit system in Europe—and head to tour St. Stephen's Basilica, Budapest's most significant spiritual landmark. After visiting the basilica, we will enjoy a pleasant walk towards Vörösmarty Square, the vibrant heart of the city. From there, we will proceed to Castle Hill, where the impressive Buda Castle awaits us, the former residence of Hungarian kings, followed by the coronation Matthias Church and the romantic Fisherman's Bastion, offering breathtaking views of the Hungarian Parliament and the entire Budapest panorama. After the guided tour, there will be free time to explore the city at your own pace.

day 2

budapest

After breakfast at the hotel, you have the whole day free to explore Budapest at your own pace. We recommend starting with a visit to the Great Market Hall, which will charm you with its unique atmosphere and wide selection of Hungarian specialties and souvenirs (open only until 3 PM on Saturdays). From there, it’s just a short walk to the Great Synagogue, the largest Jewish place of worship in Europe and one of the city’s most important landmarks. You can enjoy a pleasant stroll along the Danube Promenade, where interesting statues and sculptures will catch your eye, or visit one of the major museums—whether it’s the Hungarian National Museum or the Museum of Fine Arts, located right on Heroes' Square. Another stop could be the lively Erzsébet Square, where you can take a panoramic ride on the Budapest Eye observation wheel and see the city from a completely new perspective. Budapest is especially famous for its thermal baths, and a visit to some of them should definitely not be missed! We recommend the majestic Széchenyi Baths in Art Nouveau style, one of the largest in Europe, boasting the warmest springs in Budapest and stunning neo-Baroque architecture.

day 3

budapest - bratislava

After breakfast at the hotel, you have free time to spend as you wish. We recommend a leisurely stroll along the famous Váci Street, the most well-known pedestrian zone in Budapest, full of shops, cafés, and a lively atmosphere. Also worth visiting is the Labyrinth beneath Buda Castle – a mysterious network of tunnels with a unique atmosphere that will transport you back in time. To end the weekend, treat yourself to a sweet finale at one of Budapest's legendary cafés – whether you choose the breathtakingly decorated New York Café or the traditional Gerbeaud, be sure to try some of the classic pastries like Eszterházy cake or Dobos torte. Departure back to Bratislava is planned for around 1:30 PM.
