day 1
Departure from Prague to Athens, upon arrival transfer from the airport to the hotel, accommodation at the hotel, free time, overnight stay.
day 2
After breakfast at the hotel, take a walk through one of Europe's most fascinating capitals. Visit the Acropolis Museum, stroll past the Theatre of Dionysus and Herodes Atticus Odeon up to the Acropolis. Explore Athens' most famous buildings – the Parthenon, Erechtheion – the temple dedicated to Poseidon and Athena, the Temple of Nike Apteros, the Pinakotheke, and the Propylaea – the grand entrance gate. The route continues through the Agora – the marketplace of ancient Athens, to the Plaka district – charmingly located beneath the Acropolis, known for its quirky buildings and winding streets full of atmospheric taverns, nightclubs, and shops. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
day 3
After breakfast, free time for individual activities in the city, shopping, museum visits, etc., or the option to join interesting full-day optional tours:
Argolida Tour: Mycenae (the center of Mycenaean civilization, including a visit to the famous Lion Gate, the circular tombs of Clytemnestra and Agamemnon, the Treasury of Atreus, and the museum), Nafplio (the first capital of free Greece, guarded by the fortresses of Akronafplia and Palamidi from the south and Bourtzi on a small islet off the coast; known as the most elegant city on mainland Greece with its characteristic narrow streets lined with shops, marble-paved squares, and a picturesque waterfront promenade), and Epidaurus (one of the most famous sites of ancient Greece, home to the best-preserved ancient Greek theater in the world, renowned for its exceptional acoustics, and the sacred sanctuary of Asclepius, the god of medicine).
Wine Region Tour of Corinth and Visit to Nafplio: The Corinth region is a significant area for Greek winemaking. The Agiorgitiko grape variety from Nemea is grown here, along with the famous Corinthian raisins. The first stop is at two wineries in Nemea, where you can taste Agiorgitiko and other international varieties such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. The second stop is Nafplio, the first metropolis of modern Greece, known for its Venetian architecture and historic landmarks. The visit includes the Palamidi fortress, Akronafplia with views of the Bourtzi islet, and a stroll through Syntagma Square with the former parliament building. Lunch at a local restaurant is optional.
Sunion Cape Tour with Dinner, Folklore Show, and Live Music: A stunning journey from Athens along the Saronic Gulf through the Athens Riviera to Cape Sunion. This cape is the first place mentioned by Pausanias (an ancient author and 2nd-century AD travel writer) as the 'sacred promontory of the Athenians.' According to mythology, Poseidon had his palace beneath the sea here and his temple on the wind-swept cliff towering above the Aegean Sea. In ancient times, the location of Cape Sunion was also strategically important, so the Athenians established a small naval base and fortress here to protect ships transporting grain to Piraeus. The site offers one of the most beautiful sunset views. The tour concludes with dinner at a traditional local taverna featuring live music and a dance show.
In the evening, return to the hotel, free time, overnight stay.
day 4
Breakfast at the hotel, free time to explore the city on your own, followed by a transfer from the hotel to the airport according to the flight schedule, departure to Prague.
