Trip program
Day 1: Departure in the evening from the Czech Republic to France.
Day 2: Arrival in the afternoon to Chartres for a tour of the magnificent cathedral, accommodation, optional dinner.
Day 3: After breakfast, a tour of the city Rennes, a medieval city with a number of half-timbered houses, departure to Carnac – a visit to the most significant prehistoric site in the world, including three thousand menhirs, a short trip to the interesting peninsula Quiberon with a short stop in the town of the same name in the southernmost part, accommodation in the area, optional dinner.
Day 4: After breakfast along the coast with a stop in the typically Breton town with a port Port Louis. Another stop in Pont Aven – “the town of fourteen mills and fifteen houses,” which attracted many artists in the 19th century (P. Gauguin). Concarneau – a tour of another typical town with its most significant attraction – Ville Close – a fortified town. Departure to Quimper – a town with a beautiful Breton atmosphere, famous for its pottery with a number of half-timbered houses in the “old town” and a cathedral, free time, accommodation, optional dinner.
Day 5: After breakfast, a drive along the wild rugged coast to the westernmost point Point du Raz, up to 80 meters above the sea with a breathtaking view of the jagged rocks and the raging sea, followed by a rugged coastline with a number of typical Breton towns, including a stop in Locronan – with elegant Renaissance houses with a charming chapel, calvary, and fountain, crossing the national park d´Armorique to the northern coast of Brittany, accommodation in the area, optional dinner.
Day 6: After breakfast, departure to Saint Malo, “the city of corsairs,” which the city owes its greatest development during the 16th – 17th centuries. A tour of the city and the castle with a number of historical buildings and fortifications, in the afternoon departure to Mont St. Michel – a tour of the unique fortified abbey, which is one of the symbols of Normandy, dating back to the 10th century, crossing to the landing area with a stop in Bayeux, with the Notre Dame cathedral and the famous 70-meter-long tapestry, departure for accommodation in the Paris area, optional dinner.
Day 7: After breakfast, a sightseeing tour of Paris, individual free time or a guided walking tour of the center – Place de la Concorde, Tuileries Gardens, small Arc de Triomphe, Louvre, Notre Dame… In the evening, departure to the Czech Republic.
Day 8: Arrival in Prague in the morning, in Moravia in the afternoon.
NOTE: The sightseeing tour in Paris will be adjusted to the current traffic situation on site.
