day 1:
Departure from Prague to Cairo – the capital of Egypt and the second largest city in Africa. Transfer to the hotel, dinner, overnight stay.
day 2:
After breakfast, transfer to the royal necropolis in Giza on the outskirts of Cairo, home to the largest structures of ancient Egypt, including the Sphinx and the Great Pyramid of Khufu (visit to the pyramids from outside), one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Free time at the pyramids, lunch at a local restaurant, return to Cairo. Visit to the famous Egyptian Museum, free time, with the option to visit the Khan el-Khalili market. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
day 3:
After breakfast, transfer to the edge of the desert near Cairo, where the oldest and largest Egyptian burial ground is located – Sakkara. The site has yielded a large number of historically valuable artifacts, but the main treasure of this area is the step Pyramid of Djoser. Transfer to the former capital of Egypt, founded about 4000 years ago – Memphis. Here you can find remains of monuments – an alabaster sphinx statue that guarded a temple and a huge torso of a statue of the Egyptian king Ramses II. Lunch at a local restaurant, return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
day 4:
In the early morning hours, transfer to Cairo airport, flight to Aswan. After arrival, lunch, followed by a transfer to the Philae temple complex, located on a small island where the ancient border with Nubia once ran. The original site of the temple would now be submerged under the Aswan Dam reservoir. When the dam construction began, the temple, built around the 3rd century AD, was relocated to where we can visit it today. Boarding a boat to cruise the Nile, overnight on a 5* ship with full board.
day 5:
In the early morning hours, an optional excursion to the Abu Simbel temple is available for those interested (105 EUR/person). This famous temple is carved into a rock cliff and was built by the ancient Egyptian king Ramses II. The entrances to the temples are flanked by his enormous statues seated on thrones (return to the ship around 1 p.m.). During lunch, we will sail to the Kom Ombo temple, dedicated to the crocodile and falcon deities. The design of the temple, its columns, halls, and sanctuaries is unique. The cruise continues to Edfu, overnight on the ship with full board.
day 6:
After breakfast, a tour of the Temple of Horus at Edfu, built during the Ptolemaic period and taking 180 years to complete. The cruise continues to Luxor, lunch on board, followed by a visit to one of the most beautiful Egyptian temples – Luxor. It was commissioned by one of ancient Egypt's great builders, Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Return to the ship, overnight on board with full board.
day 7:
After breakfast, a tour of the Valley of the Kings, the royal burial site of many Egyptian pharaohs, queens, high priests, and nobility. The tombs are carved deep into the rocky cliffs and adorned with stunning hieroglyphs that tell the unique story of an ancient Egyptian family and their journey to the afterlife. Visit the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the longest-reigning female pharaoh in Egyptian history, followed by the two Colossi of Memnon, lunch at a local restaurant, and a visit to the temple complex at Karnak, which consists of a series of temples and chapels. Return to the hotel, dinner, overnight stay.

In the early morning hours, transfer to Luxor airport, departure to Prague with a stopover in Cairo. Arrival in Prague in the afternoon.
