Tour itinerary

Day 1: Departure from the Czech Republic in the early morning. Arrival in Linz, the Danube metropolis. Opportunity to take the steepest adhesion railway up to Pöstlingberg, a landmark dominating the wide surroundings with a beautiful pilgrimage church. Individual sightseeing. Then we continue to Gmunden, a romantic town located on Lake Traun, known not only for its stoneware but also for the romantic water castle Orth. In Traunkirchen, we will visit the former monastery church with a pulpit shaped like a fishing boat and continue to the Attersee lake area for accommodation. Dinner. Overnight stay.

Day 2: After breakfast, we will reach Salzburg, one of the most beautiful cities of medieval Europe, whose grandeur often rivaled even Vienna. A two-hour walking tour with a local guide. Free time for further individual sightseeing. In the afternoon, we continue to St. Gilgen, a romantic town on Lake Wolfgang. Individual sightseeing, opportunity for swimming – or a ride on the cable car to Zwölferhorn. Return to the accommodation, dinner, overnight stay.

Day 3: After breakfast, we travel to St. Wolfgang, a town on the lake of the same name. Opportunity to take one of the last steam cog railways to the most beautiful viewpoint in the Salzkammergut region, Schafberg mountain. In the afternoon, we visit Bad Ischl, a romantic spa town that used to be the summer residence of the imperial court. Opportunity to visit the Imperial Villa. Return to the accommodation. Dinner, overnight stay.

Day 4: After breakfast, we visit Hallstatt, a romantic town on the lake of the same name with a famous salt mine (possibility to visit this unique attraction, including a ride down the old mine slide). We continue to Obertraun, with the option to take the cable car to the slopes of Dachstein. In the afternoon, departure back to the Czech Republic, arrival late in the evening.
