Local taxes and a resort fee are payable on site; mandatory. The amount of the resort fee is determined by the specific hotel and can be either fixed or a percentage of the accommodation cost. The amount of taxes is governed by the current regulations of local authorities. These fees cannot be included in the price of the trip and are payable on site upon arrival at the hotel.
The tax rate is currently approximately 18%, resort fee approximately 50 USD / room / night.

Hotels in the USA may require a deposit. It usually amounts to $250. The refundable deposit is intended to cover minibar consumption, possible damages caused by the guest, and so on. In case the room is left properly, the deposit will be returned.
