Information
VISA:
Sri Lankan authorities have reinstated visa conditions for Czech citizens traveling to Sri Lanka effective from September 27, 2024. A visa can be obtained through the so-called Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) at the link Online Visa Application (eta.gov.lk) or upon arrival (so-called on arrival). However, Sri Lankan authorities recommend obtaining the authorization before traveling through the ETA system. Please note that there is limited capacity of immigration officers at the airport and long waiting times can be expected.
ENTRY CONDITIONS:
To enter Sri Lanka for tourism purposes, travelers must present a valid travel document (valid for at least 6 months), a return ticket, accommodation confirmation, and sufficient financial means upon arrival.
ENTRY FORM:
Sri Lankan authorities published on January 1, 2023, the Digital Arrival & Departure Portal (immigration.gov.lk), where travelers to Sri Lanka can fill out the arrival card (arrival form) three days before their planned trip. Some airlines require the completed form at check-in at the airport. Travelers should check with their airline whether this online form is required.
