- •VISA: Sri Lankan authorities have reinstated visa requirements for Czech citizens traveling to Sri Lanka, effective from September 27, 2024. A visa can be obtained through the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) system at Online Visa Application (eta.gov.lk) or upon arrival. However, Sri Lankan authorities recommend securing the ETA before traveling. Please note that immigration officer availability at the airport is limited, and long waiting times are expected. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: For tourist entry to Sri Lanka, travelers must present a valid travel document (valid for at least 6 months), a return ticket, confirmation, and sufficient financial means upon arrival. ENTRY FORM: Since January 1, 2023, Sri Lankan authorities have introduced the Digital Arrival & Departure Portal (immigration.gov.lk), where travelers can complete the arrival form up to three days before their planned trip. Some airlines require this form to be completed during airport check-in. Travelers should verify with their airline whether this online form is mandatory.
