The hotel has its own program for the rescue of sea turtles that come here to nest, and when the turtles hatch, there is an opportunity to observe the hatchlings heading to the sea.

Al Waha is one of the 3 parts of the luxurious Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa, and in translation, Al Waha means oasis. It is the family part of the resort with access to the Al Bandar part, which is more focused on a relaxing holiday.

The building has 4 floors, 6 elevators, an elegant and spacious lobby, 24-hour reception, 4 restaurants: Samba (international), Bait Al Bahr (fish and seafood), Surf Café (American), Assira Pool Bar (light snacks). In the Al Bandar area, there are additional restaurants, cafes, and bars that guests can use. The complex also includes a currency exchange, ATM, souvenir shop, parking, and luggage storage. Conference room for up to 100 people, free WiFi in hotel areas. The outdoor facilities of the resort include pools with a total area of 5000 m2, a 500 m long lazy river connecting the Al Waha and Al Bandar areas; a children's pool with play features and a slide, a sun terrace with free loungers and umbrellas.
